TURNING POINT - Selt Titled 7" (Hi Impact records)
TEST PRESS:
10 made
First Press
1000 - Black vinyl
Cover was printed on heavy sort of textured paper and it came with two large inserts printed in blue ink. The first press copies were also numbered on the inside from cover and some had a "turning point" address stamp as well. Supposedly ten copies were stamped as #1.. THere are other slight variations around too...
from Sean / Youngblood Recs:
"The covers and inserts were printed at a Vo Tech. Chris Hauck (sp?) and Joe printed the covers/inserts using whatever paper they could find laying around. Thats why the first press covers vary a lot in paper stock. I have some oddball versions of the cover: an uncut cover, a cover that has printing on both sides (just the cover printed on both sides of the paper."
Second Press
800 - Black vinyl
200 - Red vinyl
Smaller lyric sheet with Skip singing with a gang of kids.
Third Press
400-900 - Black vinyl
100 - Gold vinyl
The gold vinyl was made to sell to European kids and
distributors. Insert paper was white or gold depending on
vinyl color with a photo of the band playing at the Fall
Brawl.
Fourth Press
300-500 - Black vinyl
Done a bit later but similar to the previous pressing. The insert I have with the black copy shown below is one sided (no photo on the back side) and I believe these were the 4rth press versions. Labels and covers look the same as previous.
